On the morning of September 21, the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the VGCL awarded scholarships to students in particularly difficult circumstances who are children of union members, workers, and women in difficult circumstances in 2 border communes of Tay Ninh province.
This is an activity in the series of events of the program "Accompanying Border Women" in 2026 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At Vinh Binh Secondary School (Tuyen Binh commune, Tay Ninh province), the delegation went to the site to award 50 scholarships to students currently studying at primary and secondary levels in 2 communes of Tuyen Binh and Hung Dien, 25 students each unit.
Each student received a scholarship worth 1 million VND, a Mid-Autumn Festival gift and a pair of students.
Although the gifts are not of great material value, they are identified as concern and encouragement for the children to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, be obedient, study well and achieve many achievements in the new school year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized the concern of Party committees and local authorities for caring for and supporting students in difficult circumstances, creating conditions for them to study and develop.
Scholarships, Mid-Autumn gifts and student bags are therefore not only material support, but also words of encouragement for them on their learning journey, adding faith for them to overcome circumstances, be diligent, study well and aim for a new school year with many positive results.
