Dien Bien drill to respond to natural disasters and protect the safety of workers

Dien Bien - On April 17, Dien Bien Power Company organized a drill on disaster prevention and search and rescue, safety and incident handling plans for 2026.

The drill was attended by 60 officials and employees from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of Dien Bien Power Company, specialized departments, and shock forces: Muong Ang Power Company, Dien Bien Phu Power Company, Thanh An Power Company, Tuan Giao Power Company, High Voltage Power Grid Enterprise and Dien Bien Electricity Experiment Center.

The drill program is built on 4 complex simulated situations caused by prolonged heavy rain and thunderstorms in Muong Ang commune.

The situations include: Landslide causing 3 collapses of 0.4kV power line poles after the central substation; collapse of 35kV power line poles and labor accidents; lightning strike damaging power supply equipment (TU) for cutting machines on the 35kV power line; fallen trees cutting off fiber optic cables in the direction of Dien Bien to Tuan Giao.

According to the mobilization order of the Head of the Command, the units quickly coordinated and transported materials and vehicles to support Muong Ang Power Company in overcoming the incident according to the "4 on-site" motto.

The steps taken at the drill were strictly followed according to technical and safety regulations.

According to leaders of Dien Bien Power Company, the drill helped officials and employees of units in the company master professional skills to handle situations and overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters.
