On April 17, leaders of La Eee Commune People's Committee, Da Nang City said that at noon on April 16, a heavy rainstorm accompanied by a strong tornado occurred in 2 villages Pa Ooi and Dak Ngol, causing heavy damage to houses and civil works.
According to initial statistics, natural disasters have caused 19 houses and village cultural houses and schools in the area to have their roofs blown off and be seriously damaged.

In which, some solidly built houses had their roofs completely blown off, some households suffered 100% damage to the main roof. Many other houses had their roofs blown off from 40-50%, affecting both the main house and auxiliary works such as kitchens and porches.
For semi-permanent houses, the kitchen roof and auxiliary works are also damaged from 10-30%.
Not only causing damage to houses, heavy rain accompanied by tornadoes also caused many green trees to fall, blocking rural roads, affecting the travel and daily life of local people.

After the rain stopped, the Civil Defense Command of the commune mobilized military and police forces, coordinated with border guards to go to the area to clear fallen trees, support people to repair and re-roof houses, and ensure safe accommodation for people.
Currently, the La Eee commune government continues to review the extent of damage to have appropriate support plans for affected households.
