Previously, information from functional agencies, at about 2:10 pm on March 30, 2026, a serious traffic accident occurred at the intersection of level crossing No. 3 of An Duong Industrial Park (Hai Phong City).
At this time, an excavator was pulling a steel cable across the road (driver not yet identified). Mr. M.T. D (born 1995, residing in Hung Yen) drove a motorbike and hit the cable, causing Mr. D to be seriously injured, taken to the emergency room and died at the hospital at 4:15 pm on the same day.
It is known that Mr. M.T. D is a worker in the copper pipe department, Sanhua Vietnam Co., Ltd. At the time of the accident, Mr. D was on his way from the company to his rented house in Cach Thuong, An Duong, Hai Phong. Mr. D passed through a road section under construction pulling cables without warning signs, so the cable got caught in his neck and caused a fatal accident.
According to the Sanhua Company Trade Union, immediately after the incident, the trade union sent a report to the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, requesting support for the family of the worker who died in a traffic accident on the way home from work. Leaders of the Trade Union Board of the Industrial Park of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation directly visited and encouraged the victim's family, and awarded an emergency allowance of 10 million VND.
On the afternoon of April 10, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Sanhua Company's Trade Union said that the police agency is investigating the accident caused by cables causing Mr. D's tragic death. The Trade Union also proposed that the Hai Phong City Labor Federation have opinions and recommendations to relevant functional agencies on ensuring safety at construction sites near industrial parks. Like the above incident, a car pulling electric cables across the road without warnings caused workers to die.
