Mr. Pham Gia Tuc becomes Standing Deputy Prime Minister

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc holds the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, performing the duties of Standing Deputy Prime Minister.

Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed Decision No. 666/QD-TTg assigning the work of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers.

In which, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee - performs the duties of Standing Deputy Prime Minister.

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc monitors and directs: the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction, the Government Office; some areas of the Ministry of Public Security as assigned by the Prime Minister.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, directly monitoring and directing the following areas of work:

- Industry; trade - import and export; gasoline and oil reserves and supply, logistics services.

- Ensure energy, use energy economically and efficiently.

- Transportation; ensuring traffic order and safety.

- Construction.

- Key national projects, basic construction investment projects under authority according to assigned fields.

- Economic zones, industrial parks, export processing zones.

- National master plan, regional plan, provincial plan.

- General mechanisms and policies on bidding (the settlement of work related to bidding in specialized fields is directed by Deputy Prime Ministers in charge of the field).

- Crime prevention.

- Amnesty.

- Prevention and combat of smuggling and trade fraud.

- International integration; monitoring, directing negotiations and implementing bilateral and multilateral international commitments.

- General direction on handling and removing difficulties and obstacles related to prolonged backlog projects nationwide; directly directing the handling and removal of difficulties and obstacles related to projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure and assigned fields.

- Coordination of work between the Government and the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuracy.

- Approving investment policies and directing, inspecting, urging, and resolving difficulties and obstacles arising from investment projects under their authority according to assigned fields.

- Science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of ministries, sectors, and fields assigned to be in charge.

Mr. Pham Gia Tuc holds the positions of: Chairman of the National Planning Council; Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee; Chairman of the National Civil Aviation Security Committee; Chairman of the Vietnamese sub-committee in the Vietnam - Russian Federation Intergovernmental Committee; Head of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee; Head of the Central Steering Committee for Housing and Real Estate Market Policy; Head of the National Steering Committee for Combating Smuggling, Commercial Fraud and Counterfeit Goods; Head of the Steering Committee for Reviewing and Removing Difficulties and Obstacles related to Long-Term Projects Across the Country; Chairman of Councils, National Committees, Heads of Steering Committees, Chairman of the Appraisal Council for Plans in Related Fields.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, direct the implementation of Government tasks when the Prime Minister is absent and authorized by the Prime Minister.
