The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Area Management Working Group No. 5 (Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation) said that the unit is organizing the implementation of the 3rd voluntary blood donation program "Sharing pink blood drops" in 2025 in the area under its management.
The program is expected to be held on the morning of September 20 in Vung Tau ward (HCMC), expected to have about 500 union members and workers attending.
Of which, male union members and workers who are eligible to donate blood are people from 18 to under 60 years old; weighing over 50 kg. As for female union members and workers from 18 to under 55 years old, weighing over 45kg; not pregnant or breastfeeding.
At the same time, union members and workers do not have chronic diseases; there are no diseases transmitted through the blood; the gap between 2 full blood donations is 88 days (or 21 days for platelet donation)...
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Area Management Team No. 5, the blood donation program is organized and implemented according to the plan issued by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, aiming to promote the good tradition of humanity, contributing to making the voluntary blood donation movement a regular and long-term activity of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union at all levels.
At the same time, raising the sense of responsibility of cadres, union members, and workers about the purpose and meaning of voluntary blood donation; demonstrating the sense of responsibility and sharing for the community of union members and workers. Thereby contributing to ensuring enough blood for emergency care and treatment at hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
