Taking over the work from the old Hoan Kiem district, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem ward has basically completed the renovation and installation of LED screens at the top of the building at 5-7 Dinh Tien Hoang.
With Thuy Ta restaurant, many items such as the roof and sleepers have been renovated and renovated by the owner to serve activities for the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and parade on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2. The facade of Dinh Tien Hoang Street has also been renovated.



Hoan Kiem Ward (Hanoi) has also relocated the parking lot on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, re-paved the road surface, repaired and installed a median strip to reorganize the square area and traffic. Mobile tree pots (which can move close to the edge of the sidewalk on weekends) have been arranged.

According to the plan approved by the People's Committee of the old Hoan Kiem District, the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square renovation project is divided into two phases. Phase one has been completed, including demolishing the Shark Ham building (No. 1-3-5 Dinh Tien Hoang) and renovating Thuy Ta restaurant.
Phase two will study the development of underground space under the square, renovate the overall technical infrastructure and add urban equipment suitable for the operational functions of the area.



Regarding the underground construction planning, according to the overall planning of the site, Hoan Kiem ward will study the construction of an underground space of about 3 basements under the main square, expected to arrange a cultural and commercial space at basement 1 and parking space at basement 2, 3.
The authorities will study the entrance to the motor vehicle (expected) to be arranged to connect from Cau Go Street, at the location adjacent to building No. 7 Dinh Tien Hoang.
The walkways up and down the basement are being studied and arranged around the square area (specifically, they will be determined according to a separate project, approved by competent authorities).
