The ceremony of awarding 986 scholarships worth more than 804 million VND from Lefaso Tra Vinh Company (Vinh Long province) brought joy and motivation to study for the children of workers.
Nguyen Thi My Hanh, an 11th grade student, a worker at a company, said she was very happy to have received a meaningful scholarship from a business for many years.
According to Hanh, the scholarship helps parents reduce the burden of study costs. She added that she will try to study well so as not to disappoint her parents or the company.
"Scholarships are not only a reward for learning efforts but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding confidence to steady progress, opening up many development opportunities in the future," Hanh added.
Not only students, but also workers appreciate the attention from businesses. Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Thuy - a worker with 3 years of working at the company - said that for 3 consecutive years, her children have received scholarships.
According to Ms. Thuy, that is a great source of encouragement for their children to be fruit-led and study well. "I hope this meaningful activity will be maintained for a long time, so that many other workers' families can also share difficulties, gain motivation to work and stick with the company," Ms. Thuy added.
From the wishes of workers and the joy of their children, it can be seen that the scholarship program not only has material value but is also a bridge to connect, encouraging the enthusiastic and dedicated labor spirit of workers.
Trade unions accompany workers
Ms. Tran Thi Thone - Vice President of the Trade Union of Lefaso Tra Vinh Company said that the trade union always accompanies the enterprise in taking care of workers' lives, in which scholarships for workers' children are annual activities.
This is both a gratitude and a way to support them to study better. The union will continue to coordinate with the company to maintain and expand the program in the coming years.
According to Ms. Thone, this year's scholarship awarding is also one of the practical activities to celebrate National Day on September 2. Previously, the company and the union held a flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, arranging the shape of the Party and the national flag with the participation of more than 3,000 workers, creating a vibrant atmosphere and uniting the collective.
Not stopping there, every year Lefaso Tra Vinh Company also spends more than 3 billion VND for many other practical care activities such as giving gifts to workers on holidays and Tet; supporting the construction of houses; visiting workers with serious illnesses...
These actions affirm the concern and support of businesses and trade unions in improving the material and spiritual life of workers, Ms. Thone emphasized.
