Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung said that the goal of developing trade union members, innovating content, methods and improving the quality of operations of trade unions at all levels, especially grassroots trade unions, is always is the most important task of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and has been implemented for many past terms, until now it still has its value and continues to be strongly developed.
In the Vietnam Trade Union organizational system, the Communist Party of Vietnam is the foundation of the Vietnam Trade Union, in which the Business Trade Union has over 5,000 union members and plays an important and pioneering role in developing the worker movement and making decisions. no small impact on the quality of trade union activities in the new situation.
The research and piloting of innovating the organizational model and operating methods of grassroots trade unions at enterprises with many union members is in accordance with the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union "Innovation of organization and operation". trade union, building a comprehensively strong Vietnam Trade Union, focusing on well performing functions and tasks, meeting the requirements of the new situation" and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Ministry of Government policy on "Innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation"... therefore, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has implemented a Plan to develop the Project.
Recently, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed the Research Team to conduct surveys, statistics, and impact assessments on the organization and activities of enterprise grassroots unions with 5,000 members or more in 9 provinces and 1 union. Central sector; Thereby, it was agreed to select 5 localities to research and develop the Project.
Up to now, there has been an initial draft of the Project, so that the Project ensures a theoretical and legal basis, is suitable for practice, and meets the needs and aspirations of union officials and union members... The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organizes a workshop to collect opinions from union representatives at all levels, especially those selected to pilot the model, to have a basis for receiving and completing the Project to be presented at the Conference of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held in early September 2024.
At this workshop, union officials discussed and contributed quality opinions on key, core issues of the draft Project, such as structure and layout; on the current situation, viewpoints, goals, methods, roadmap, tasks and solutions of the pilot Project...
