Dialogue and negotiation to protect workers' rights
In recent years, the company's trade union has affirmed its role as a solid support for workers (NLĐ), and also a reliable bridge between workers and businesses. Currently, the unit is taking care of more than 21,000 union members and workers - the largest force among businesses in Thanh Hoa.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Tron - Chairman of the Trade Union of Annora Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the trade union always proactively coordinates with the board of directors to grasp the production situation, thoughts, and aspirations of employees to promptly propose appropriate solutions, contributing to stabilizing labor relations.
In addition, the trade union actively participates with businesses in implementing labor laws; amending and supplementing internal regulations; building a job position evaluation system. Thanks to that, about 80% of workers receive hazardous, hard work, and technical performance allowances at a rate of 5-12% of salary. From 2018 to now, nearly 7,000 workers have received early salary increases, creating motivation for long-term commitment.
Every year, the company organizes 2 periodic dialogues and from 4-6 unexpected dialogues when problems arise. Through dialogues, many recommendations of workers related to salaries, benefits, meals, working conditions and occupational safety and health are resolved promptly.
The work of negotiating and signing collective labor agreements is focused on. Many beneficial clauses are maintained such as bonuses for the 13th month's salary; bonuses for holidays and Tet; female workers pregnant from the 7th month working 7 hours/day but still receiving 8 hours/day salary... Benefits such as meal allowances, attendance, seniority, gasoline, housing support... are adjusted to increase each stage" - Mr. Tron shared.
Caring for life, connecting workers
From 2024 to now, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Trade Union has supported the company's trade union with more than 1.5 billion VND to care for union members. The grassroots trade union each year spends hundreds of millions of VND to visit, give gifts, encourage learning, and care for Tet for workers; mobilized nearly 1 billion VND of socialized resources; mobilized more than 1.7 billion VND internally to support difficult cases.
The company's trade union also built and maintained many effective models such as "Worker Cultural Corner", "Pregnant Women's Group, Raising Young Children", "Law Advisory Group", "Quality Olympics", "3V - for employees, for the Trade Union organization, for the development of the business"...
Emulation movements have been widely deployed, typically such as "New Vitality from Scrap", creating hundreds of products to support workers in difficult circumstances; the program "75,000 initiatives, overcoming difficulties, developing" recorded 271 initiatives, making a profit of more than 2 billion VND.
Sharing with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Luong Thi Hang (embroidery department worker, Annora Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd.) said that she has worked at the company for many years. In recent years, not only her but also many other workers have always received attention from trade union levels and company leaders.
As one of the cases facing difficulties, I am always cared for and supported by the company's trade union in both work and life. Every year, on holidays and Tet, trade union levels and company leaders give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances like me. The gifts are not too large in terms of material, but they have helped difficult cases reduce hardship, feel warm and feel secure in working, and be attached to the company for a long time" - Ms. Hang confided.
