According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 6, the Northwest region, from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang City, will have intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 37-39 degrees Celsius.
Notably, there are places over 40 degrees Celsius like the monitoring stations: Tay Hieu (Nghe An) 40.3 degrees Celsius, Huong Son (Ha Tinh) 40.1 degrees Celsius, Dong Hoi (Quang Tri) 40.2 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region is hot with the highest temperature commonly from 35-36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Nga, Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today April 7, hot weather is also likely to expand to the entire Northern region (Quang Ninh and Hai Phong are not hot).
The Northwest region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak are the places with the most intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly in the range of 37 - 39 degrees Celsius, with some places above 40 degrees Celsius such as Song Ma, Yen Chau (Son La); Tuong Duong, Quy Hop, Tay Hieu, Con Cuong (Nghe An), Tuyen Hoa (Quang Tri)" - Ms. Nga warned.

Representatives of the Weather Forecast Department also added that the Northeast region, including Hanoi capital, the Central Highlands and the South, have less intense heat, the highest temperature in these areas is commonly in the range of 35 - 36 degrees C, with some places above 37 degrees C.
This heat wave is likely to last for many days to come. Hot and intense heat combined with reduced humidity in the air have adverse effects on health. People should limit going out during peak hours from 11 am to 4 pm, which is the time when the heat is strongest" - Ms. Nga advised.
According to weather forecast information for the next 10 days from the meteorological agency, the Northeast region is likely to be hot until around April 12.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also specifically warned that hot weather can increase the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand and the risk of forest fires. Note that the forecast temperature in hot weather bulletins and the actual perceived temperature outside can differ from 2 - 4 degrees Celsius, or even higher depending on the condition of the buffer surface such as concrete and asphalt roads.
