Promoting creativity to increase labor productivity
One of the most effective activities contributing significantly to increasing labor productivity is the emulation movements "Good workers - Creative workers". In mid-August, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the 2025 Creative Labor Festival at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor level with 3 outstanding events, including: Exhibition "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rising", Forum "Promoting the Creative Potential of Workers" and Award Ceremony "Enterprises for Workers in 2025" with 80 booths displaying products, initiatives, and creativity of union members and workers across the country symbolizing the 80 years of the country's founding, of which 15 booths stand out with initiatives that bring hundreds of billions of VND in benefits, contributing to improving labor productivity, product quality, and sustainable development.
Speaking at the Forum "Promoting the creative potential of workers", Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - emphasized: After 96 years of building and developing, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese working class and trade union organization have continuously grown, matured, and actively contributed to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, especially in the period of innovation and international integration. In recent years, the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers" launched by the Trade Union organization has truly become a strong driving force, arousing the spirit of innovation and the desire to contribute among the team of workers and laborers.
The 2025 Creative Labor Festival is a gathering of the quintessence of innovative movements and creative labor festivals from the grassroots. The Forum "Promoting the creativity of workers" was organized as a space for exchanging and listening to voices from practice. That is: From scientists, experts, businesses and the workers themselves who are directly working and producing. The information, solutions, ideas and suggestions shared at the forum will contribute to removing barriers and innovating management thinking to maximize the creative potential of Vietnamese workers in the digital transformation era.

Caring for workers to accumulate the most valuable assets of the enterprise
Representing and caring for the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers is the top priority task of the Vietnam Trade Union. This task has been concretized by trade unions at all levels, and is now being implemented more and more with the motto of focusing on the grassroots and demonstrated through the fact that all activities are built and implemented from the needs of union members and workers. Therefore, many activities not only meet the needs of union members and gain the trust of businesses but also receive high appreciation from the whole society.
A typical example is a series of activities to care for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year. Promoting the effectiveness of previous years, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Trade Union will organize a number of new points. At the 13th Conference of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term XIII, held on September 15 under the chairmanship of President Nguyen Dinh Khang, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor discussed activities to care for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year for union members and workers.
Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that the activities of taking care of Tet for workers must be concentrated at the grassroots level. A new point this year is the organization of the Union Year's Meal for union members and workers. The Union Year's Meal is an opportunity for workers, union organizations, employers, leaders of local governments and authorities to share and confide, creating an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby creating trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Union organization and enterprises. The value of a meal at the Trade Union Meal is at least 50,000 VND, up to 100,000 VND/meal from the trade union's financial resources plus the value from the funding source of the enterprise, local government or other socialized sources (if any, unlimited value).
The 2025 "Union Meal" program is implemented by trade unions at all levels nationwide to care for the spiritual and material lives of workers, on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2. During the implementation process from July to September 2025, the Union Meal brought joy and especially the connection between workers and the Union organization and the enterprise. Here is the connection in a family, so that each member can see their responsibility for the common home. At the Union Meal, in addition to the daily shift meal fee of the enterprise, the Union contributes additional funds to increase food and nutrition for workers.
Recognizing the responsibility and efforts of enterprises in caring for workers' lives and contributing to sustainable development, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just held a ceremony to honor 28 typical enterprises for workers in 2025. The program was organized by Lao Dong Newspaper under the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang affirmed: The award is a social event of special significance. This is an opportunity to recognize and honor enterprises that truly consider employees as valuable capital, always pay attention to improving working conditions, improving their lives, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, towards sustainable development in integration.
After 11 years of organization, the criteria for selecting the award have been continuously improved, increasingly affirming their prestige and becoming a measure for businesses to self-assess, self-edited, and self-completion. From 2014 to present, the program has honored 578 enterprises, of which 20 units have received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.
"The Trade Union, union members, and workers always hope that businesses will develop more and more, and that the business community will be more and more successful. We expect each entrepreneur to clearly see their responsibility to have a better solution to care for workers, because caring for workers is caring for the development of the enterprise", Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized.
