The conference approved the plan to organize "Trade Union Meals", organize "Month of Listening to Workers' Voices" as well as the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. At the same time, it agreed on the content in the draft report for the first 6 months of 2026, the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of the year; the results of implementing Workers' Month 2026...
Regarding the plan to implement the "Trade Union Meal" program, to support the organizing units, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation will allocate about 27 tons of rice, corresponding to a norm of 0.2 kg/person/meal. In addition, grassroots trade unions can use trade union financial resources to supplement funding of up to 30,000 VND/meal according to regulations. Employers continue to ensure meal allowances and are encouraged to provide additional support to improve the quality of meals for workers. The implementation period is from July 6 to the end of August 31, 2026.
Regarding this activity, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - directed departments and units to disseminate the Trade Union Meal program to union members and workers, striving to have 200,000 union members registered to participate, creating a positive spillover effect in the Trade Union system in particular and society in general.
In addition to this activity, Trade Union levels focus on organizing activities in the direction of gathering a large number of union members, suitable for the majority of union members, directly caring for each union member and employee. From there, contributing to the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions. The Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation also requested commune, ward, special zone trade unions, and grassroots trade unions to start reviewing and grasping cases of union members and employees in difficult circumstances, working far from home, being affected in their jobs... to propose gifts and allowances for Tet 2027, ensuring that union members and employees are not left behind.
