The men's and women's football tournament for union members and workers in the city and eastern region started on April 25 with the participation of 31 teams from commune and ward trade unions and grassroots trade unions under the Trade Union of industrial parks in the eastern region of the city. Including 25 men's teams and 6 women's teams. After 51 exciting matches, the players contributed to the audience exciting and attractive football matches with nearly 250 goals scored.
On the morning of June 28, in the final match, the men's football team of Hong Bang Ward Trade Union excellently defeated the Dong Hai Ward Trade Union team to win the championship in the Eastern region. In the women's category, the victory belonged to the Trade Union of Regina Miracle International Vietnam Co., Ltd. after defeating the women's football team of Phihong Co., Ltd.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded cups, flags and First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes in both men's and women's categories, and also honored many individuals with outstanding achievements such as best player, best goalkeeper and other sub-prizes.
Previously, on June 7, the 2026 Hai Phong City Union Members and Workers' Men's and Women's Football Tournament in the Western region also closed with victories belonging to the Kinh Mon Ward Trade Union (men's football content) and the Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. Trade Union (women's football). The final of the city's union members and workers' men's and women's football tournament will take place at the Vietnam Maritime University Stadium in July 2026, towards celebrating the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28).
