After 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style", Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union said that the industry union has directed trade union levels to include the content of studying and following Uncle Ho in the annual work program and plan.

One of the highlights is the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style associated with patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns of the sector such as "Good Labor - Creative Labor", "Innovating service style and attitude towards patient satisfaction", "Building Green - Clean - Beautiful medical facilities, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene".
At grassroots trade unions, the implementation of emulation movements is directly integrated into the daily work of the team of officials and medical staff.
From the process of receiving patients, improving administrative procedures to improving professional quality, all are considered specific contents to implement studying and following Uncle Ho.
Practice in many units of different types such as hospitals, training institutions, pharmaceutical enterprises and testing units has shown the clear effectiveness of this approach.

Many units such as Da Nang C Hospital, Central Hospital 71, Central Dermatology Hospital, Central Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Thai Nguyen Central Hospital, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Drug Quality Control have recorded many technical innovations, optimizing professional processes.
The initiatives after being applied have contributed to shortening patient waiting times, improving the quality of medical services and the operational efficiency of the unit. In parallel with that, the implementation of commitments to annual cultivation and training is seriously implemented, closely following the responsibilities and tasks of each individual, associated with professional ethics standards of medical staff.
Thanks to the close connection between studying and following Uncle Ho and emulation movements, the spirit of responsibility and attitude of serving patients of the medical staff has been clearly improved.
The working environment has gradually improved, labor relations are increasingly harmonious and stable, contributing to improving the quality of health services and strengthening people's trust in the industry.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union, in order for the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style to become substantive, the Vietnam Medical Union has issued many important documents to concretize the implementation contents.
Including Plan No. 62/KH-CDYT dated December 29, 2021; Plan No. 55/KH-CDYT dated September 11, 2023; Plan No. 25/KH-CDYT dated April 1, 2026 and Coordination Plan No. 02/KHPH-CDYT-PTL dated August 30, 2023 between the Vietnam Medical Union and the Documentary Film Center - Vietnam Television to strengthen communication and spread typical examples.
Thanks to that, propaganda work has been innovated in a practical and flexible direction, harmoniously combining traditional forms with digital transformation.
These ways of doing things have helped the study and following of Uncle Ho not only stop at absorbing theory but gradually transform into specific actions in practical work. Each union member and worker has the opportunity to self-examine, self-correct, and improve their sense of responsibility and the quality of performing assigned tasks.
Along with propaganda work, the discovery, commendation and replication of advanced examples are also particularly focused on by the Vietnam Medical Union.
In the period 2021-2023, the entire sector commended 12 collectives and 37 typical individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style. In the period 2023-2025, 7 collectives and 19 individuals continued to be commended and rewarded.
Through the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, many good models and effective ways of doing things have been built and replicated throughout the industry. Typical examples are the models "Each union member does one good deed following Uncle Ho's example", "Innovating service style and attitude, towards patient satisfaction", along with many models of technical improvement, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, services and caring for the lives of union members and workers.
