Before the 2026 Lunar New Year, gifts of support from the Vietnam Medical Union were sent to union members in difficult circumstances at affiliated grassroots trade unions.
At the Institute of Strategy and Health Policy, after reviewing and receiving this support source, authorized by the upper-level Trade Union, Ms. Tran Thi Hong Cam - Chairwoman of the Institute's Trade Union and members of the Executive Committee handed over meaningful gifts to union members. Accordingly, 8 union members of the Institute received support with a total amount of 9 million VND.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Cam - Chairwoman of the Institute's Trade Union - shared that although the gifts are not too large in material terms, they contain the feelings, sharing and deep concern of the Vietnam Medical Union for workers at the grassroots level. This is a priceless source of spiritual encouragement, helping union members alleviate difficulties and welcome a new Spring that is more warm and joyful.
At Huu Nghi Hospital, Ms. Nguyen Viet Phuong - Chairwoman of the hospital's Trade Union - said that during the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Vietnam Medical Union donated 54 gifts (each gift worth 1 million VND) to union members in difficult circumstances of the hospital. The hospital's Trade Union also presented 10 gifts, each gift worth 2 million VND, along with 1 box of milk and a pair of banh chung for union members in difficult circumstances at the hospital.
“Gifts from the Vietnam Medical Union to union members in difficult circumstances at the hospital are a very timely, meaningful and precious activity, greatly encouraging their spirit,” Ms. Nguyen Viet Phuong shared.
According to statistics from the Vietnam Medical Union, in 2 outings of caring for union members and workers of the industry during the Lunar New Year 2026, a total of 5,544,140,000 VND was supported for 21,814 union members. In which, the work of caring for union members in difficult circumstances is: 4,446 cases with the amount of 4,125,500,000 VND; Year-end meal: 16,522 union members at 39 units with the amount of 1,158,640,000 VND. In addition, the Vietnam Medical Union also mobilized socialized resources of 75,000,000,000 VND.
For the "Trade Union Tet Market 2026" program through the e-commerce platform organized by the VGCL, 945/1,125 union members and workers bought goods, reaching 84%. Grassroots trade unions promptly cared for 13,248 union members with an amount of about 11,330,683,000 VND.
Thus, on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, at all levels, the Vietnam Medical Union has cared for more than 35,062 union members with a total amount of more than 16,874,823,000 VND.
Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union - said that after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, workers returned to work at a high rate, ensuring production and professional progress at units; no collective labor disputes arose; labor relations continued to be maintained harmoniously and stably. Along with that, trade union levels actively encourage union members and workers to emulate labor production right from the first days of the new year.
