Attending were Ms. Cu Thi Hau, former member of the Party Central Committee, former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, former Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; former leaders of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union (now Petrovietnam Trade Union). On the side of the Group's leadership, there were Mr. Bui Minh Tien, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, member of the Board of Members, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Group Party Committee.
This activity was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam), congratulating the success of the 4th Party Congress of the Group, term 2025-2030.
At the meeting, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan, Chairwoman of Petrovietnam Trade Union, said that after half a century of construction and development, Petrovietnam has fulfilled its mission associated with "5 An", including: Energy security, economic security, food security, national defense security and social security. Currently, the Group supplies about 10% of electricity output, 60-70% gasoline, 70-80% civil gas, 70-80% fertilizer products to the economy; ensuring 100% defense fuel.
To date, the total revenue of the Group has reached more than 605 billion USD, contributing 142 billion USD to the budget (currently accounting for 8-9% of total state budget revenue), contributing an average of 9-10% of GDP.
In conjunction with the development of the Group, Petrovietnam Trade Union always plays a good function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of workers and is the core force launching emulation movements such as "Early destination", "Good workers - Creative workers", "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in trade union activities", "Innovation in Oil and Gas" in the period of 2024-2028... Thereby contributing significantly to the overall success of the Group.
A similar meeting was previously held in Ho Chi Minh City.
