Mr. Tran Xuan Lay, from Phu Tho province, has just received the Certificate of Merit "National Typical Workers' and Civil Servants' Families for the period 2021-2026" awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper on Vietnam Family Day (June 28), Mr. Tran Xuan Lay said that the secret to maintaining modern family happiness is sharing from the most ordinary and simple things.
What we remember most after the conversation with this man is not only the glorious moment of receiving the award.

That is the image of a man waking up at 4:30 am every day, quietly cooking breakfast, sweeping the yard and then rushing to the company before the streets wake up.
I think in modern families, the fire keeper is not just the wife but both husband and wife," Mr. Lay shared with a smile.
That smile is nurtured from very ordinary things. Due to the nature of his work, he usually works from 5:30 am to 6 pm, sometimes until 8 pm. Therefore, housework starts when it is still dark.
On holidays, if he is not busy with social work, he goes to the kitchen to cook rice, clean the house, and go with his wife to visit his wife's family or take his wife and children to the supermarket.
In addition to their main job, the couple also sells agricultural products to increase income. There are trips from Sa Pa or Muong Khuong at 2-3 am, he stays up all night to pick up goods, weighing each kilogram of mushrooms, each bag of tangerines to deliver to customers in time.
Each year, the family consumes nearly one ton of shiitake mushrooms, more than two tons of Muong Khuong tangerines and thousands of kilograms of clean vegetables, tubers, and fruits.
Accompanying him is Ms. Ngo Thi Minh - Head of Professional Team, teacher of Dao Duc Kindergarten.
Mentioning his wife, his eyes always flashed with pride. For many years in a row, she achieved the title of Advanced Laborer, Grassroots Emulation Soldier and constantly contributed to the cause of education.
Good at schoolwork, she is still a dedicated mother taking care of the family. Their two sons are currently university students, and have continuously achieved the title of excellent student for many years.
A happy family does not come naturally. It is built from sharing in each small task, from meals prepared at dawn, from sleepless nights taking goods, from understanding so that everyone can feel secure in pursuing their work.
That family support has added strength for Mr. Tran Xuan Lay to excellently fulfill his social role.
Attached to Lam Vien Vinh Phuc HHCN Company for 19 years, including 11 years as Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, he is always dedicated to employees and has many recognized initiatives.
Those contributions helped him continuously receive many certificates of merit and certificates of commendation from trade union levels and authorities.
Perhaps, the dedication in the family is like the roots silently clinging deep into the ground. No one sees it, but it is from those roots that the tree has enough strength to grow green and luxuriant, bloom and bear fruit.
Mr. Tran Xuan Lay's family is proof that happiness is not created from great things, but starts from sharing housework, from the responsibility of both husband and wife and from silent sacrifices every day.
In the modern pace of life, when many traditional values are changing, families like them are becoming a beautiful source of inspiration, spreading the message that: only when we keep the fire together, the home will always be lit and happiness can last.
