The first edition of the 28/7 men's and women's mini football tournament in industrial parks - 2026 is organized by the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026).
Taking place from July 18 to July 25, 2026 at Hoang Sport artificial turf court (Chau Thanh commune) and Vinh Hung court (Sa Dec ward), the tournament gathers 32 teams (including 24 men's teams and 8 women's teams). The teams compete in a 5-a-side mini-football format, draw lots to divide groups, and play in a round-robin format to select outstanding representatives for the semi-finals and finals.
Immediately after the opening ceremony in Chau Thanh commune, the teams showed enthusiastic and honest fighting spirit, dedicating many beautiful and dramatic matches. Male and female players who are workers and direct production workers have brought many good plays, beautiful goals and enthusiastic support from a large number of fans.
According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament is not only in response to the movement "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho", but also a healthy playground to help union members and workers regenerate labor and reduce stress after working shifts.
This is also an opportunity for employees from departments, production workshops and between businesses to exchange, strengthen solidarity, and contribute to improving production and business efficiency.
It is expected that the final matches, closing ceremony and award ceremony will take place on July 25, 2026.
