Ho Chi Minh City - On the morning of July 17, the opening ceremony of the final round of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament took place at Ton Duc Thang University stadium.

The Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is an annual tournament co-organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, with the professional companionship of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). Through four seasons, the tournament has gradually affirmed itself as a large-scale, prestigious and meaningful mass sports playground for workers, civil servants, and laborers across the country.

After nearly two months of competition in the two qualifying rounds in the North and South regions, the tournament recorded the participation of 48 teams from provinces, cities, industry unions and businesses across the country. After many attractive matches with high professional quality and fair-play spirit, the 16 best teams officially won the right to participate in the National Finals.

The national final round takes place from July 16 to 19, with the participation of 16 teams: Hanoi Trade Union, Hai Phong Trade Union, Bac Ninh 2 Trade Union, Bac Ninh 3 Trade Union, Quang Ninh Trade Union, Vietnam Industry and Trade Trade Union 1, Vietnam Bank Trade Union, Petrovietnam Trade Union, Quang Ngai Trade Union, Gia Lai Trade Union, Dong Nai 2 Trade Union, Dong Nai 3 Trade Union, Dong Nai 4 Trade Union, Sacombank, Southern Petroleum Construction Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Thang Thang Long Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the tournament steering committee - shared: "On behalf of the organizing committee, I respectfully thank the presence of the leaders and distinguished delegates; thank the sponsors; thank the athletes for their efforts to participate in the tournament.

We wish the athletes to strive to have good plays, beautiful goals, and cheer for the solidarity, selflessness, persistence and nobility of Vietnamese workers and civil servants".

At the National Finals, 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups: Groups A, B, C and D will compete in a round-robin format to calculate points and rank. Select the first-placed teams and the second-placed teams in 4 groups to compete in the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals.

The total prize value of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is up to 900 million VND. In which, the champion team of the national final round receives 200 million VND and the championship cup; the second-placed team receives 150 million VND; the third-placed team receives 100 million VND...

In addition to team prizes, the organizers also awarded individual and team titles including: Best player, Most goalscorer, Best goalkeeper, Fair-play team, Most impressive cheerleading team and Best referee team. Each prize is worth 10 million VND.
