Architects of creativity and welfare
Mr. Nguyen Ba Chau is the Head of the Electromechanical Department and Chairman of the Trade Union of Lai Vung Garment Grass Co., Ltd., Dong Thap province. Under the leadership of Mr. Chau, the Executive Board of the Trade Union closely coordinated with the Board of Directors of the Company to widely implement the "Good Workers, Creative Workers" movement, thereby creating many effective initiatives, with a value of VND15 - 22.5 billion/year for businesses.
Mr. Chau personally directly contributed 4 important initiatives that brought benefits and cost savings to the company of nearly 10 billion VND/year; in which, the highlight was the successful design and manufacture of the Seafoodfoodfood Pressure Machinery system. This initiative has increased the capacity of the machine from 9 tons/hour to 12-14 tons/hour.
Mr. Chau's enthusiasm is also strongly demonstrated in his work in caring for life and social welfare. He proposed that the Executive Board of the Trade Union organize the program "Supporting children to go to school", giving 256 gifts to the children of the company's workers, with a total value of more than 175 million VND; participating with the enterprise director to donate 8 charity houses to workers worth from 40 to 60 million VND/house.
A prominent mark of welfare is the organization of 8 "Union Meals - Thank You to Workers", increasing the value of shift meals (increased from 22,000 to 25,000 VND) for more than 1,250 workers. The total value is over 105 million VND supported by the enterprise.
The grassroots trade union advised on organizing periodic health check-ups for nearly 300 employees and successfully mobilizing 100% of employees to join the trade union organization every year; mobilizing support for people in the North affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) with an amount of 51.8 million VND.
With outstanding contributions, Mr. Chau was awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023; Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024.
In the locality, he has continuously received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee for his outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers" and many Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Federation of Labor for his outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and trade union activities over the years.
Workers overcome difficulties, rise up with intelligence
As a technical worker and union member of Cong Tien Garment Joint Stock Company, Mr. Phan Van Vi is a typical image of the spirit of self-study, research, efforts to overcome difficulties and is ready to impart experience to newcomers, helping them improve their skills. He has always actively responded to emulation movements launched by the company and the Trade Union.
Mr. Vi participated in the program "75 thousand initiatives, overcoming difficulties, developing" with 2 initiatives and the program "2 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic" with 4 initiatives updated to the system launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Over the past 5 years, Mr. Vi has implemented 9 initiatives that have brought economic benefits of up to more than 1.4 billion VND.
His initiatives are streamlined technical solutions, helping the assembly process to be faster, shortening time, reducing labor, improving product quality, increasing labor productivity and income for workers.
These initiatives have been widely applied in sewing trends, typically: the "Improving the selection of the backpacking program" initiative with a total benefit of more than 310 million VND; the "Improving the rear-bag programming" initiative with a benefit of more than 298 million VND and the "Improving the bag arrest programming" initiative with a benefit of more than 257 million VND.
Mr. Vi achieved the title of Excellently completing the task, Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level for 5 consecutive years (from 2020 to 2024). He was honored to receive the Creative Labor Certificate from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023 and 2024.
He also received a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023, a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee in 2024 and the Award of July 28 from the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor in 2025.
