Hai Phong launches the first "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model at FDI enterprises

Creating substantive changes in taking care of workers' lives

The Trade Union of Sanhua Vietnam Co., Ltd. currently has 825 union members out of a total of 900 workers. In the 2020-2025 term, the Trade Union has negotiated and signed collective labor agreements effective until December 2026, 5/14 clauses are more beneficial for workers such as Tet bonuses of at least 1 month's salary, basic salary 5% higher than the minimum salary, hot meal allowance, reduced working hours for pregnant women from 25 weeks or more... The Trade Union coordinates to supervise meal times, negotiate to adjust meal rates, increasing from 20,000 VND to 22,000 VND/portion. Average income reaches about 11 million VND/person/month, an increase of 22% compared to the beginning of the term...

Those results are the foundation for Sanhua Trade Union to build a model. In the future, the Trade Union will build a roadmap to implement the model, creating substantive changes in workers' lives and labor relations at enterprises. In the immediate future, improve the quality of groups to care for and protect workers' rights, especially collective labor agreements, periodic dialogues, implement democracy regulations, and monitor the results of resolving petitions. At the same time, improve cultural and spiritual life through cultural and sports activities, legal propaganda, occupational safety and health, soft skills, and care for female workers, young workers and tenants" - Mr. Nguyen Van Dat - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union said.

According to Mr. Yu Bo Yang - Deputy General Supervisor of the General Management Department of Sanhua Co., Ltd., building a socialist grassroots trade union is not only the task of the Trade Union, but the common cause of the entire Company in the next 5 years. Through the implementation process, the Trade Union will become increasingly stronger, workers' rights will be better guaranteed, the spirit of solidarity will be strengthened, and the business will develop more stably, creating a solid foundation for Sanhua Vietnam to complete the strategic goals of the Group.

Towards grassroots level, taking union members as the center

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation said that in the context that the city is actively implementing socialist models from grassroots practice, the launch of the model at Sanhua Trade Union is of practical significance. This is not only a specific activity to concretize the Party's policy, but also a proactive and creative step of the Trade Union organization in bringing the resolution into the lives of workers, especially in FDI enterprises.

Along with the proactiveness of the Company's Trade Union, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation clearly defines the responsibility of accompanying, guiding and supporting grassroots levels throughout the implementation process according to the motto "focusing on grassroots levels, taking union members as the center". In which, coordinate to organize practical activities at enterprises such as propaganda of laws, policies on female labor, occupational safety and health; skills, culture, sports classes; research and deploy half-time exercises, hobby clubs, and health training activities suitable to the Company's production conditions.

For care work, the City Labor Federation will connect welfare programs, legal advice, the Capital Assistance Fund for workers and utilities on the "Huong Cong - Hai Phong Trade Union" App. Through the Capital Assistance Fund, union members and workers can access an emergency loan package with a preferential interest rate of 0.55%/month, loan amount up to 80% of income, without collateral; thereby having more legal financial support channels, contributing to preventing black credit among workers.
