Thousands of initiatives bring great benefits
On the morning of July 16, in Nghe An, with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 241 typical officials, union members, and workers of the Construction industry were commended for their contributions to the movement of good labor and creative labor.
They come from many construction sites, factories, agencies, units and businesses, but have one thing in common: From the difficulties arising in the working process, each person has found new ways to improve productivity, save costs, ensure safety and improve working conditions.
These may be technical solutions to help handle problems at the construction site, improved construction processes to shorten progress, or production organization methods to help businesses save materials, human resources and master technology at key projects.
In the two years 2024-2025, the entire Construction industry has 6,539 technical innovations, production rationalization, working conditions improvement and management process innovation recognized and applied in practice.
These thousands of initiatives have brought a total value of more than 1,166 billion VND in profit, and at the same time contributed to removing many difficulties in the construction, production and management process.
Behind the numbers is the process of observing, accumulating experience and finding ways to solve specific problems of workers. Many initiatives do not start from big topics but originate from an unreasonable operation, a stage that takes a lot of time or a risk of unsafety at the workplace.
When applied, the solutions have contributed to reducing costs, improving project quality, shortening construction time and promoting digital transformation in management and operation.
Along with individual initiatives, the entire industry has 504 emulation projects and products registered, completed and recognized, bringing about a profit value of about 425 billion VND. 43 individuals were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung assessed that the above results show that the emulation movements have become substantive, associated with production and business tasks and development requirements of each agency, unit, and enterprise.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, many highly practical initiatives have been applied, contributing to improving labor productivity, construction quality, operational efficiency and competitiveness of the Construction industry.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor praised 241 officials, union members, and workers who were commended, affirming that these are typical examples of responsibility, will to overcome difficulties, and creativity in labor.
Improving the lives of workers
The Vietnam Construction Trade Union currently has 710 grassroots trade unions with 128,894 union members. The rate of workers who have been professionally trained and have professional skills reaches 78.7%.
The average income of workers in the industry reached 13.6 million VND/person/month, an increase of 19.2% compared to the beginning of the term.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, the emulation movement in the coming time not only needs to create more initiatives but must be associated with specific results in productivity, quality, income and working conditions of workers.
He proposed that the Vietnam Construction Trade Union continue to innovate and improve the quality of the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; concretize it into tasks suitable for each construction site, factory, agency, unit and business.
Trade union levels need to coordinate with employers to create jobs, increase income, improve working conditions; strengthen inspection of the implementation of labor laws, insurance and occupational safety and health.
From a small initiative at the construction site to solutions that bring billions of VND in profit, the value of creative labor is not only in economic efficiency. More importantly, thousands of initiatives have helped workers directly participate in solving difficulties, improving the quality of works and affirming their role in the development of the Construction industry.
