Launching donations for disadvantaged circumstances
In Dong Nai province, grassroots unions with a large number of workers have continuously implemented programs and initiatives to help thousands of union members and workers with serious illnesses overcome difficulties and have money for treatment.
Recently, the grassroots union and Longwell Company Limited (Dau Giay Industrial Park, Dau Giay Commune) have just launched the program "Consistering in love, weaving love" to call for donations and support for 2 union members, Mr. D.N.Q with serious illness and Ms. L.T.T with a child with serious illness. As a result, the collective of union members and workers of the whole company contributed a total of 144 million VND and together with the Board of Directors of the company directly handed over to union members and workers in difficulty, each union member 72 million VND.
Union representatives also visited, encouraged and provided timely support to union members who were unfortunately involved in serious traffic accidents, helping them reduce their difficulties and increase their determination to stabilize their lives.
These programs to support workers with serious illnesses have been implemented by many grassroots unions in the province over the years.
The Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai Province) said that up to now, the company's Trade Union has organized the " caring Hands" program and supported nearly 500 union members and workers with serious illnesses with treatment fees of nearly 20 billion VND.
Charity bracelets help workers overcome difficulties
The "Hands of Love" program has been organized by the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. since 2009, with funding raised from the collective of employees. The program has been organized 47 times, on average each worker with a serious illness receives about 40 million VND. Of which, the highest was the 8 workers with serious illnesses who received support of more than 92 million VND/case.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the " caring Hands" program comes from sympathy for workers facing difficulties in illness, from which the trade union built this program to share the burden of disease treatment for workers. "Although the amount is not large, it is the heart of all employees in the company to share with each other, because we are members of the same family" - Mr. Tu shared.
Mr. Le Nhat Truong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that the program to support workers with serious illnesses has been implemented by the trade union for nearly 20 years since the company was established, and the amount of support for workers is increasing. Every year, the union will mobilize all cadres, workers and employees to join hands to contribute to support union members and workers with illnesses. Each period will have about 6 cases of workers supported with an amount of about 50 million VND/case. To date, hundreds of workers have been supported with an amount of nearly 30 billion VND.
"Because the program is increasingly effective and practical, union members and workers have contributed more and more. This is a noble gesture, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, love and mutual love of the Pou Sung extended family - Mr. Truong shared.
