On June 8, the grassroots Trade Union of DIC Tourism Joint Stock Company (HCMC) said that it had directly visited and presented gifts to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances together with business leaders.
Through this, the unit visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to support 6 families of workers in difficult circumstances who are renting rooms, with people suffering from serious illnesses... in Tam Thang, Tam Long wards (Ho Chi Minh City) and Phu Tho province.
Being visited by business leaders and trade unions at his rented room in Tam Long ward, Mr. Vu Ngoc Hien (front desk staff) said that he is a single father and has to take care of 2 young children, one of whom is having difficulty developing. Every day, Mr. Hien has to travel by motorbike more than 25km to his workplace in Tam Thang ward.
My income is mainly to cover living expenses and take care of my children. Being given time by leaders and the union to go to the place to encourage and visit me makes me very touched," Mr. Hien said.
In a small room in Tam Thang ward, Ms. Tran Thi Lien's family was also moved when the trade union and business leaders came to the rented room to visit and encourage them. "When we saw the company and trade union leaders come to visit, my family was really warmed, feeling that we were cared for and shared, not alone," Ms. Lien said.
According to the Trade Union of DIC Tourism Joint Stock Company, although the support gifts are small, they contribute to alleviating the hardships in the lives of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, helping them feel secure in their work and strive to rise up in life.
