Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Dinh Chung - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation reviewed the 73-year tradition of building and developing the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Union and affirmed: Over the past 73 years, Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation has actively advised, proactively researched, and concretized the Party's directives and resolutions into the practice of workers' movements and trade union activities.
The direction work has been gradually innovated, focusing on the grassroots, taking the grassroots as the area of operation; effectively representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
With the efforts of the Trade Unions at all levels in the province, especially since the province's re-establishment, many collectives and individuals have been commended by the Party, the State and all levels and sectors.
In 2021, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor was honored to receive the Third Class Independence Medal from the President.
Attending the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor congratulated the results achieved by the trade unions at all levels of Lao Cai province.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong believes that, in the new context, trade unions at all levels and workers will continue to promote tradition, proactively and creatively implement the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels, determined to build Lao Cai into a developed province.
Also at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee Vu Xuan Cuong commended the great achievements and contributions that the team of workers, laborers and trade unions at all levels in the province have achieved over the past 73 years.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee suggested that all levels of trade unions in the province actively and proactively innovate the content and methods of operation in the direction of "focusing on the grassroots", all activities are "for the benefit of union members", improving the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Along with that, it is necessary to regularly organize dialogues, thereby grasping the thoughts, aspirations and orienting the thinking of workers. Combine the work of building a strong trade union organization, developing union members, and establishing grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded commemorative medals to 15 individuals; Lao Cai Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded 30 female grassroots trade union officials, 30 party members who are exemplary trade union members in the province and awarded prizes in the online contest to learn about the Resolution of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress, Lao Cai Trade Union Congress, term 2023 - 2028.
