Lao Cai Trade Union held a discussion with Yunnan General Confederation of Labor

This is an activity within the annual foreign affairs program of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor with Yunnan Provincial General Confederation of Labor (China), aiming to strengthen the relationship of exchange and cooperation, helping to better care for and protect the rights and legitimate interests of workers.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and shared experiences in developing union members, establishing trade union organizations, organizing emulation movements for workers... and at the same time proposed to increase information sharing, especially effective ways to implement the construction of strong trade union organizations.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor - Dang Dinh Chung emphasized: Vietnam and China have a close and friendly relationship. In particular, Lao Cai and Yunnan are two provinces with mountains and rivers connected to each other, and the people of the two sides have a long-standing traditional exchange relationship. In recent years, under the joint efforts of both sides, the cooperative relationship has achieved positive results.

"Through cordial talks agreed upon in memorandums of understanding, we have contributed to expanding the relationship between trade union organizations and the international labor movement. Therefore, we hope that the two sides will continue to maintain exchanges and cooperation in the field of caring for and protecting the rights of workers," said the Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor.

Mr. Vuong Hong - Standing Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor of Yunnan Province said - on the basis of previously signed agreements, at this meeting, the General Confederation of Labor of Yunnan Province wants to deepen, expand and strengthen the relationship between the trade union organizations of the two sides.

This will promote the exchange and economic development of the two regions. At the same time, learn how to protect the rights and interests of workers in the two unions, between Yunnan and the four northern mountainous provinces.

Also at the seminar, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor and Yunnan Provincial General Confederation of Labor signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance exchange and cooperation.

In addition, the parties gave each other extremely meaningful gifts, demonstrating their close and intimate relationship.
