On the afternoon of January 18, at B&D Lingerie Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhon Hoi Economic Zone), Binh Dinh Economic Zone Trade Union organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" 2025.
At the event, Binh Dinh Economic Union presented Tet gifts to 420 union members and disadvantaged workers with a total amount of 239.6 million VND.
Representatives of Binh Dinh Labor Federation and Provincial Trade Union awarded prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in production activities and patriotic emulation in enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of Binh Dinh Trade Union, said: Along with bringing Tet to workers at B&D Lingerie Vietnam, this time, Binh Dinh Trade Union also supported 1,598 union members and other workers at affiliated grassroots unions; the total amount of "Tet contribution" is 1.053 billion VND.
“Representing, caring for, and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers is always identified as an important task of trade unions at all levels,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Long affirmed. “On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, trade unions will coordinate with employers to support more than 13.4 billion VND in cash and in kind for 22,795 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, people with work-related accidents, occupational diseases, and serious illnesses."
Binh Dinh Trade Union also proposed to the Provincial Federation of Labor and directly mobilized funds, giving 1,586 gifts worth more than 1.2 billion VND. During the Workers' Month, the Trade Union and the Provincial Federation of Labor donated 117 million VND to 140 union members and workers; organized 3 "Union Meals" for 1,887 union members and workers with a total budget of 88.5 million VND. There were 3 grassroots trade unions that coordinated to organize "Union Meals" for 1,081 people. The total number of union members and workers who benefited from "Union Meals" was 2,968 people with a total amount of over 150 million VND".
