On December 30, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held a handover ceremony of 2 Trade Union Shelter houses for union members with difficult housing circumstances in the border district of Giang Thanh.
This is an activity within the series of activities for the 2025 Military-Civilian Tet organized by the province in Phu Loi commune, Giang Thanh district.
The first house was handed over to Mr. Tien Kiet, residing in Tran The hamlet, Phu My commune, currently a member of the Phu Loi commune trade union. The house has an area of 60m2, the construction cost 150 million VND, of which the Kien Giang Trade Union Shelter Fund supported 50 million VND, the rest was contributed by family and relatives.
The second house was handed over to Mr. Le Thanh Tuan, residing in Giong Ke hamlet, Phu Loi commune, currently a member of the Phu Loi Kindergarten Union. The house has an area of 120m2, the construction cost is 250 million VND, the Kien Giang Trade Union Shelter Fund supports 50 million VND, the rest is contributed by family and relatives.
Attending the house handover ceremony, Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Truong Thanh Thuy congratulated the union members on their new, spacious house. Through that, he also encouraged the union members to strive to improve, stabilize their lives, work well, and fulfill their assigned tasks.
