On July 4, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize Workers' Month and the "Trade Union Meal" program in 2026. Attending the conference were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with leaders of Bac Ninh province and related departments and agencies.
According to the report at the conference, the activities of Workers' Month 2026 were deployed synchronously, strongly oriented towards grassroots levels, associated with the Action Month on occupational safety and health, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
Caring work continues to be a highlight with a total support budget of more than 10.1 billion VND, of which the Provincial Labor Federation directly spent more than 4 billion VND. More than 4,500 gifts have been given to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

The free health check-up program is organized for about 3,000 provincial-level workers and more than 150,000 turns of workers at grassroots trade unions.
In particular, the "Trade Union Meal" program was implemented at 516 grassroots trade unions, serving more than 277,000 workers with a total budget of 18.12 billion VND. The program contributes to improving the quality of lunch meals, while strengthening the connection between businesses and workers.
During Workers' Month, dialogue activities are also promoted. The "May Dialogue" program and forums recorded 75 dialogues with over 20,000 participants, receiving more than 975 opinions and recommendations related to salaries, welfare, insurance, housing, labor safety and workers' lives.
The forum for contributing opinions to build the Vietnam Trade Union alone attracted more than 150,000 opinions, and many recommendations have been received and resolved by trade union levels and businesses.
Cultural, sports and union member welfare activities are also taking place sôi nổi. The "Skills Day - Sustainable Employment" program attracted more than 10,000 turns of workers to participate in training, improving vocational skills and digital skills.
Trade union organization development work continues to achieve positive results with nearly 3,100 new union members, 65 grassroots trade unions established; of which 556 union members are foreigners. Trade union levels also introduced 468 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting.
Notably, 100% of businesses with 100 or more employees organize at least one activity to respond to Workers' Month...
At the conference, many presentations focused on solutions to improve the effectiveness of trade union activities in the new period such as strengthening propaganda and mobilizing workers, especially foreign workers, to participate in trade union organizations; promoting the role of grassroots trade unions in dialogue and negotiation; continuing to improve the quality of lunch meals, health care and improve the working environment for workers.
Speaking to direct, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong acknowledged and praised the results achieved by trade union levels in Bac Ninh province in Workers' Month 2026.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested trade union levels to continue to concretize the Resolution of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress with practical action programs; promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions associated with improving the quality of operations; strengthen dialogue, collective bargaining, and supervise the implementation of labor agreements to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
At the same time, it is necessary to continue to promote emulation movements for good labor, creative labor, promote digital transformation, apply science and technology and promote technical innovation initiatives to improve productivity, income and working conditions of workers.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 350 English reading markers to children of workers in difficult circumstances; awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 collectives and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025 and Workers' Month 2026.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation also awarded Certificates of Merit to 75 collectives and 80 typical individuals; and at the same time presented 131 gifts from the program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
