Mr. Thach Van Chung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation said that in the first 6 months of 2026, Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union levels will focus on directing grassroots trade unions to review, amend, supplement and sign new collective labor agreements; and at the same time improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining to bring many practical benefits to union members and workers.
The content of negotiations focuses on issues of concern to workers such as salaries, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, safety, occupational hygiene and other welfare regimes.
Along with that, trade union levels strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of labor law, trade union law; the signing and implementation of labor contracts; implement dialogue, negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements at enterprises.
The Provincial Labor Federation also reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the signed coordination programs to promptly adjust and supplement them to suit reality. As a result, the whole province ensures the goal of having at least 81% of enterprises meeting the conditions according to regulations to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements and at least 85% of grassroots trade unions in the non-state sector coordinate with employers to build and implement grassroots democracy regulations.
In parallel with the task of representing and protecting the rights of workers, trade union levels continue to replicate many models of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members, especially in non-state-owned enterprises.
One of the highlights is the dialogue with union members and workers. In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province organized 75 dialogues and forums with the participation of over 20,000 union members and workers, receiving more than 975 opinions and recommendations.
Through dialogues, union members and workers actively participate in contributing opinions to build programs, operating plans, production, and business of the unit; and at the same time participate in supervising the implementation of policies and laws directly related to their legitimate rights and interests.
Based on the received opinions, the trade union organization promptly proposed to employers to overcome existing shortcomings and limitations; and at the same time proposed competent authorities to strictly handle violations of labor law, contributing to protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
In particular, the Provincial Labor Federation has coordinated to successfully organize a dialogue conference between the Provincial Party Secretary and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with officials, union members and workers. At the conference, 18 opinions and recommendations were directly answered by provincial leaders and departments and branches, and specific solutions were proposed to remove difficulties and improve the material and spiritual life of workers.
Also in the first 6 months of the year, the Forum "Trade Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era" was organized in a direct combined online form, attracting over 150,000 comments.
The forum became a widespread political activity among union members and workers before the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; promoting democracy, affirming the central role of union members in building trade union organizations.
The heartfelt opinions of union members have contributed to completing the Document of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union (amended), and at the same time proposed many solutions to innovate the organizational model and improve the effectiveness of trade union activities in the new context.
With many outstanding results in dialogue, collective bargaining, policy implementation supervision and promoting the role of union members, Bac Ninh Provincial Trade Union levels continue to affirm their role as reliable supports for workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
