The capital support fund for poor workers under the Hai Phong City Labor Confederation was established in 2014, with an initial capital management of 5 billion VND. After 10 years, the Fund's total capital under management is 60 billion VND.
Fund activities cover 15/15 districts in the city, 20/23 direct superior units, 3/10 grassroots unions under the city's Labor Confederation. In 10 years, 7,205 union members received loans with a circulating capital of 194.6 billion VND.
With borrowed capital, union members invest in livestock farming, production and business, small services... creating jobs for family members and the community. The average additional income of each family is from 2 million VND to 4 million VND/month, with some union members having an increased income of 5 - 10 million VND per month.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Labor Confederation awarded the Capital Support Fund, promoting "Capital Support Fund for workers, civil servants, and poor laborers for 10 years of innovation, creativity, solidarity, and development". Many outstanding groups and individuals who have contributed to the development and operations of the Fund in recent years have been praised and rewarded by trade unions at all levels.
Also on this occasion, the Capital Fund gave gifts to 20 children of employees who participated in loans to overcome difficulties, studied well and achieved high academic achievements, and 22 union members who borrowed loans received community development support products in the second round. 2024.
