The retirement age of employees in normal working conditions according to Clause 2, Article 169 of the Labor Code is specifically regulated as follows:
From January 1, 2021, the retirement age of workers in normal working conditions is 60 years and 3 months for male workers and 55 years and 4 months for female workers; then, every year increase by 3 months for male workers until reaching 62 years old in 2028 and every year increase by 4 months for female workers until reaching 60 years old in 2035.
Thus, the retirement age in 2026 for workers working in normal conditions is as follows: Male workers: 61 years and 6 months; female workers: 57 years.
Comparing the month and year of birth of the employee corresponding to the retirement age specified in this clause according to Appendix 1 issued together with Decree 135/2020/ND-CP, cases of working in normal conditions with a retirement benefit period from January 2026 include male workers born in September 1964 and female workers born in April 1969.
