On December 10, Agribank Trade Union held the 7th Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Attending were Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank; Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, with the presence of the Party Committee, Board of Members, Agribank Executive Board and 214 outstanding delegates representing over 41,000 union members and employees in the Agribank system.
The Congress approved the documents submitted by the 6th Agribank Trade Union Executive Committee to the Congress, including: Report to the 6th Agribank Trade Union Executive Committee at the 7th Agribank Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030; Review report of the 6th Agribank Trade Union Executive Committee, term 2023 - 2028; Report on synthesizing opinions on the participation in the documents of the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union and participating in amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, Agribank Trade Union has comprehensively completed the key goals, reaching 8/8 targets under its direct responsibility and 5/5 coordination targets according to the Resolution of the 6th Congress, thereby contributing to strengthening Agribank's position as the leading commercial bank in Vietnam.
In the field of representing and protecting the rights of workers, 100% of units have organized Workers' conferences, signed Collective Labor Agreements and implemented grassroots democracy regulations. The trade union proactively supervises policies related to wages, bonuses, insurance, and occupational safety and hygiene; maintains periodic dialogues, ensuring that workers' voices are listened to and resolved promptly.
The work of caring for workers' lives has been widely and substantially implemented. Trade unions at all levels have visited and supported 377 union members with serious illnesses or in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 5.7 billion VND; supported union members affected by natural disasters, epidemics and policy families with more than 20.5 billion VND. At the same time, support grassroots trade unions to build cultural facilities with 9.9 billion VND and support operating expenses for grassroots trade unions in difficulty with 2.2 billion VND.
Agribank Trade Union actively implements the work of developing union members, ensuring the admission of 100% of new workers; the work of evaluating grassroots trade unions is periodically and substantially implemented. The arrangement and consolidation of the trade union organization model at all levels according to new requirements have been implemented synchronously, improving the quality of activities and building an increasingly professional team of trade union officials, meeting the requirements in the strong transformation period of Agribank.
The Congress approved the targets of the term and set out goals, tasks, and key solutions for the 5 years 2025 - 2030. The general goal is to promote the tradition of solidarity, responsibility and creativity of union members and workers; continue to innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities in a professional, modern and flexible direction; improve the capacity to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers;
Build a strong and comprehensive Trade Union organization; Closely link Trade Union activities with the implementation of political tasks, business activities, accompany Agribank in digital transformation, improve the quality of modern banking services, contribute to Agribank in the goal of becoming a key, modern commercial bank for agriculture - farmers - rural areas, taking the lead in the field of digital banking, pioneering in green development and building a comprehensive and sustainable financial system.
Faced with new requirements and new challenges, the period marking fundamental changes in the Trade Union organization model, with the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the 7th Congress of Agribank Trade Union set goals and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term with annual targets and term targets.
In particular, one of the annual targets is to admit 100% of qualified workers to the Trade Union; each year, at least 90% of grassroots trade unions complete their tasks well or better; 100% of workers in the system are signed labor contracts, participate fully in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; strive to collect 100% of the Union's financial contributions compared to the amount payable for Trade Union funds and Trade Union fees according to regulations...
Some targets implemented during the term include: By the end of the term, 100% of grassroots trade unions representing union members and workers will sign Collective Labor Agreements; by the end of the term, 100% of grassroots trade unions will carry out digital transformation in trade union activities, meeting the requirements and tasks of the trade union organization in the new period...
The Congress elected the Agribank Trade Union Executive Committee, term VII, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 23 people.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Deputy Governor of the State Bank - highly appreciated the activities of the Agribank Trade Union and emphasized the implementation of resolutions, especially the application of digital transformation; the Trade Union must be the core of solidarity; must accompany the implementation of professional tasks; must continue to do a good job of caring for union members and workers.
