Implementing the Resolution of the first City Trade Union Congress, the training and fostering program for city trade union officials in 2026, the City Labor Federation coordinated with the University of Trade Unions to organize the opening ceremony of the theoretical and professional trade union work class for 41 city trade union officials.
The course lasts from May 12 to July 11. 2026. At the course, students learn about topics on the overview of the Vietnam Trade Union, labor and trade union law; skills in dialogue, collective bargaining, signing and supervising collective labor agreements; skills in participating in management and leadership, operating trade union activities; skills in propaganda, communication, mobilizing union members, workers and women's work. Students are also supplemented with professional skills in trade union finance - accounting, professional skills in developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; guidance on conflict management skills, negotiation in trade union activities...
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation, said that fostering theory and professional skills in trade union work is a very necessary content for each trade union official. Especially in the current period, when implementing the 2-level local government model, dissolving and terminating the activities of directly superior grassroots trade unions, establishing communes, wards, and special zones with models that are not strictly regulated, not comprehensively decentralized and unsynchronized. The team of trade union officials has just been consolidated through the 2025-2030 term congress, many officials participate for the first time, lacking practical experience as well as skills in trade union activities.
The Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation requested the trainees to uphold their sense of responsibility, strictly comply with the class regulations, actively research, exchange and apply knowledge to practical work at their agencies and units. At the same time, he believes that after the course, the team of trade union officials of Hai Phong city will continue to improve their capacity, bravery and working skills, contributing to caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; building the Trade Union organization to become increasingly strong and contribute positively to the socio-economic development of the city.
