Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), leaders of Hung Yen province; along with 400 official delegates representing more than 300,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers in Hung Yen province.
The 1st Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress is of particular importance, a milestone after merging and rearranging trade union organizations at all levels. The Congress marks a fundamental change in the organizational model and methods of trade union activities in the new period.
With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress focuses on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the XIII Vietnam Trade Union Congress in the period 2023-2025; and at the same time sets out goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at the congress, Ms. Do Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Hung Yen Provincial Labor Federation said that the Congress has an important task: Summarizing and comprehensively and objectively evaluating the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the period 2023-2025, which the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028 has set out.
Affirming the role, position, and great contribution of Trade Union levels and the contingent of officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in all fields of social life, which have contributed to creating achievements in economic, cultural, social, national defense and security development and building the province's political system.
The Congress will draw lessons learned in the process of directing and organizing, implementing trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers; and at the same time review the leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation in organizing the implementation of tasks in the period 2023-2025.
On that basis, the Congress decides on the goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 14th Congress of Vietnam Trade Unions and propose contents to amend and supplement the Charter of Vietnam Trade Unions.
The 1st Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union, term 2025-2030, is a Congress of Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development.
The Presidium of the Congress believes that: With the tradition of civilization and solidarity of the team of officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of the province, the Congress will excellently complete the set tasks, worthy of the trust of Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, departments, branches, mass organizations and officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province" - Ms. Huong emphasized.
Previously, in the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Appraisal Board for delegate status; and at the same time approved the program and working regulations of the Congress.
