On May 22, the Provincial Labor Federation organized the opening ceremony of the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants and Employees in 2026 - Cluster No. 3 Qualifying Round in Tra Vinh area.
The qualifying round at Competition Cluster No. 3 takes place from May 22 to 24, attracting 518 athletes from 24 grassroots trade unions in the Tra Vinh area (old) along with trade unions directly under the Central sector and economic groups to compete.
Athletes compete in many sports such as men's mini-football, women's mini-football, men's volleyball, women's volleyball, badminton and pickleball.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that the activity aims to create a healthy playground and improve the spiritual life of union members and workers after working and producing.
According to Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh, the regional workers' sports festival is also an opportunity for union members and workers to exchange, learn, and strengthen the spirit of solidarity between grassroots trade unions and businesses in the area.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh emphasized that the inclusion of pickleball in the competition program has contributed to creating novelty, dynamism, and a breath of fresh air in the current sports movement.
