On the afternoon of July 7, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) - worked with the Khanh Hoa Federation of Labor on trade union activities after the merger.
At the meeting, the leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor said that up to now, the work of perfecting the organization, the union cadre apparatus, managing union finance and assets, and handling assets when reorganizing the apparatus at the units has been basically completed.
After the merger, Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor was operated smoothly, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

Accordingly, the apparatus of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor from July 1 will be operated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, including socio-political organizations organized into 10 committees.
In which, the Trade Union organization has 2 committees: Trade Union Working Committee (1 Head of the Committee is concurrently the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor) and Industrial Park Trade Union Committee (1 Head of the Committee is concurrently the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor).
The Executive Committee of Khanh Hoa Labor Federation has 21 comrades, the Standing Committee has 11 comrades, and the Inspection Committee has 6 comrades. Up to now, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued a draft working regulations of the Executive Committee and assigned specific tasks.
Khanh Hoa has also completed the dissolution of 22/23 trade unions at the grassroots level. All district-level union officials after the dissolutions were assigned appropriate work, there were 7 cases of retirement under the regime, which have been resolved.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has received nearly 900 grassroots unions with nearly 90,000 union members after the district and industry levels were dissolved according to regulations.
Khanh Hoa is managing 13 real estate facilities after 8 district-level Labor Federations and the Industrial Park - Economic Zone Trade Union were dissolved. Khanh Hoa Labor Federation is proposing that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor retain 6 houses and land to arrange workplaces for the Trade Union Working Committee, Industrial Park Trade Union Committee, and commune-ward trade unions.

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, after 1 week of operating under the two-level government, trade union activities have basically stabilized. In addition to advantages, there are still some problems in implementing the Trade Union of communes, wards, special zones, etc.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan highly appreciated the efforts of Khanh Hoa trade union officials who urgently completed a huge amount of work to ensure operations after the arrangement and merger of the two provinces.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan also expressed his excitement that Khanh Hoa has operated stably, arranged suitable work for cadres, and some have been arranged in worthy positions.
In particular, sharing the difficulties of the merged union officials from Ninh Thuan to Khanh Hoa, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan suggested that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor pay attention to arranging workplaces, having policies to support housing, means of transportation, etc.
"At first, it will be difficult, but I hope that union officials will promote the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties, arranging families, stabilizing their minds to catch up with work immediately, paying close attention to solidarity, mutual support, and working together to develop union activities in the new period" - Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan emphasized.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor suggested that in the coming time, the Khanh Hoa Labor Federation should conduct a general review of the contents of work after the arrangement and merger to make adjustments in accordance with practical requirements of operations under its authority.
