According to Dong Nai Province's Confederation of Labor , as of August 20, more than 156 businesses have implemented Trade Union Meals with more than 253,937 union members and employees participating and benefiting from the program.
Of which, the meal with the highest value is 250,000 VND/person/portion, the meal with the lowest value is 37,917 VND/person/portion (company in Tam Phuoc Industrial Park), of which the Communist Party of Vietnam supports the budget. of the union from 19,917 VND - 50,000 VND/person/share.
With the Union Meal, the food rations are richer and better quality than usual such as rice, braised meat with eggs, braised shrimp, fried spring rolls, boiled chicken, braised snakehead fish with pepper, beef salad, chicken hotpot, roasted pork, mushroom soup. ... In addition, each meal also includes cakes, fruits, soft drinks (or bird's nest drink, yogurt).
As noted by the Labor reporter, some companies have organized trade union meals at 250,000 VND/person/serving. For example, at the Trade Union of Acrowel Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh Industrial Park, Long Thanh district) coordinated with the Board of Directors of the Company to organize a Trade Union Meal for nearly 100 employees throughout the company. The meal costs 250,000 VND/person/serving, of which 50,000 VND is from the union and 200,000 VND is from the company. The meal includes dishes such as crab, fried shrimp, spring rolls, cakes, chicken, pigeon sticky rice, giant fish with passion fruit sauce, crab hotpot, fruits...
Sharing with reporters from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Grassroots Trade Union of Acrowel Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that on average, the company organizes shift meals for employees once every 4 months, with high meal value.
Maintain union meals more often
Ms. Luong Thi Hiep, who has worked as a worker at Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. for more than 20 years, shared: "The company's mid-shift meals are usually quite delicious, but the meals organized by the Union have many more dishes, very attractive." I hope this activity will continue to be maintained."
According to Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd.: "We are discussing with the company's board of directors to organize a Trade Union Dinner once a quarter" - Mr. Tu said.
According to Dong Nai Province's Confederation of Labor, from now until August 31, there are 8 businesses organizing Trade Union Meals with about 45,000 workers, of which Phong Thai Group has 4 businesses with 34,000 workers. Trade Union Meal is a new model with the purpose of better taking care of material and spiritual life, aiming to build long-term welfare programs for union members and employees.
The Trade Union Meal is a practical activity that affirms the responsibility and concern of the Trade Union organization in taking care of union members and employees from practical, everyday needs. Through the program, we aim to build a relationship of solidarity and attachment between union members and trade unions, between employees and employers. At the same time, it helps employees feel secure in their work, production, and long-term attachment to the business.
From the above effects, Dong Nai Province Labor Confederation recommends to the Vietnam General Confederation that Trade Union Meals can be held more frequently, especially on the occasion of celebrating major holidays of the country, the nation, and anniversaries. Vietnam Trade Union's founding day, Workers' Month, Action Month on labor safety and hygiene... for workers to benefit from. At the same time, there is a proposal for the Government to consider including shift meal content as a mandatory policy regime that businesses are responsible for implementing towards employees, ensuring employee health during the working process.
