According to Vietnam Social Security , because the payment time for pensions and monthly social insurance benefits in September 2024 coincides with the National Day holiday on September 2, the Social Security agency has fully prepared the conditions since the end of August 2024 for beneficiaries to receive the regime immediately after the end of the holiday.
Accordingly, the payment schedule for beneficiaries through the bank accounts of the Social Insurance of the provinces will start from September 4, 2024 or September 5, 2024 according to the announced flow, ensuring completion before September 10, 2024.
In case the beneficiary has not received the policy due to incorrect personal account, the beneficiary is requested to contact the Social Insurance agency to change the correct information, promptly receive the policy within the month; Social Insurance agencies of the provinces will specifically notify the payment schedule so that the beneficiary is informed.
Previously, to reduce intermediary steps and ensure timely payment so that beneficiaries receive money as soon as possible from the beginning of the month, from August 1, Vietnam Social Security has directly transferred monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments to personal accounts for beneficiaries at Social Security in 43 provinces and cities.
In the payment period of September 2024, Vietnam Social Security will continue to pay monthly pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts at 43 provincial and centrally-run social insurance agencies that have implemented this method in the payment period of August 2024. For the remaining 20 provincial social insurance agencies, monthly pensions and social insurance benefits will continue to be paid through personal accounts and in cash through the postal system.
Currently, there are nearly 3.4 million people nationwide receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits. Implementing the policy of the Government and the Prime Minister, in recent times, the Vietnam Social Insurance sector has actively communicated and disseminated the advantages and benefits of receiving benefits through accounts in the spirit of encouraging beneficiaries to voluntarily participate. To date, in urban areas, about 74% of beneficiaries have received social insurance and unemployment benefits through personal accounts (an increase of about 10% compared to 2023).
According to the Vietnam Social Security Agency, in the initial phase of transition from paying pensions and social insurance benefits from cash to personal accounts, there are still some problems... therefore, the Social Security Agency and related units are actively and focused on coordinating to handle the situation so that beneficiaries can receive full benefits as soon as possible.
In case the beneficiary has declared an incorrect bank account number, resulting in not receiving the money for the payment period of September 2024; the beneficiary must immediately make a notice of change of beneficiary information according to form No. 2-CBH to re-declare the bank account number and send it to the Social Insurance agency so that the Social Insurance agency has a basis to transfer the regime money to the personal account as soon as possible, ensuring the beneficiary's rights.

Via electronic transaction: Beneficiaries register to receive authentication codes and send electronic records to the Public Service Portal of Vietnam Social Security or through the I-VAN Organization (if they have registered to use the I-VAN service);
In case the paper file cannot be converted to electronic format, send the paper file to the Social Insurance agency by post; send the file by post;
Submit directly at the Document Reception Department of the Social Insurance agency at the provincial or district level or at the Payment Points of the postal agency).
