At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh - Vice President, General Secretary, Executive Director of the Vietnam Red Cross Society - said that since the Central Party Secretariat allowed the pilot program in 2018 and officially implemented it since 2021, Humanitarian Month has connected millions of hearts for a humane and sustainable Vietnam.
Over the past 7 years, the total value of mobilization has reached over VND 3,700 billion, helping more than 7.3 million people. The Humanitarian Month in 2024 alone reached over 763 billion VND, helping over 1.6 million people.
"Up to now, total mobilized resources have reached over 225 billion VND, equivalent to 56% of the target. With this momentum, we have reason to believe that the 2025 Humanitarian Month will be a sign of success in the humanitarian journey - a journey with only a starting point, not an end point for all levels of the Vietnam Red Cross Society" - Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh shared.
