At 9:33 a.m. on May 8, Center 114 of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Hai Phong City Police received a report from local residents about a fire that broke out at Mlem bar, address 236 - Road 1/4 Cat Ba town, Cat Hai district.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Area 6 to dispatch two fire trucks and 12 officers and soldiers to coordinate with Cat Ba Town Police to urgently deploy fire fighting work.
When the authorities arrived at the scene, the fire had spread to about 40 square meters, emitting a lot of smoke, with the risk of spreading to the entire project as well as neighboring projects. According to information from the people, there were 3 people trapped inside.
The authorities quickly brought 3 people out of the fire safely. Of these, two were in normal health, one was suffocated and was taken to the emergency room in time. By 10:15 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. Preliminary damage, the fire injured 1 person (suffered), property damage is being counted.
Currently, the police are investigating the cause of the fire.
