According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in September 2025, the recruitment demand across Hanoi City is estimated at over 50,000 positions. Based on a survey and information collection of 729 vacant jobs of 269 enterprises conducted by the Hanoi Employment Service Center, recruitment demand has some outstanding characteristics.
Regarding the industry structure, while other industries and services continue to affirm their pivotal role when they account for the largest proportion and increase slightly to 56.53%, the manufacturing and construction sectors have clearly stagnated. The human resource demand of the industrial, processing and manufacturing sectors has decreased significantly from 19.08% in August to 15.56%. Similarly, the construction industry also decreased from 9.26% to only 6.25%.
The market's surprising bright spot came from the industry of " wholesale of electronic equipment and components, telecommunications, with recruitment demand skyrocketing from 1.87% to 6.11%, showing the strong rise of some economic sectors with high technology content.
Changes in the structure of occupations also correspond to shifts in the demand for professional groups. The recruitment demand for service and sales staff has decreased from 8.6% to 5.21%, along with the decline of the smooth work group from 8.42% to 6.17%. This trend shows that the period of massive recruitment for unskilled labor positions, serving the peak service season has passed. In contrast, the market is showing a clear priority for highly skilled and skilled workers, said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
The recruitment demand for mid-level specialists increased sharply from 16.56% to 19.75%. Along with that, groups of high-level experts and assemblers and operators of machinery and equipment also recorded good growth.
The overall picture reflects a shifting labor market towards focusing on quality and depth, requiring workers to have specialized skills and solid technical skills to meet the increasingly high requirements of businesses. In terms of qualifications, the labor market in September witnessed a strong restructuring, with clear priority given to workers who have received vocational training, Mr. Vu Quang Thanh emphasized.
The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that the recruitment demand for unskilled workers (osecured workers) decreased from 23.06% to 17.7%. In contrast, the demand for highly qualified human resources has grown strongly, from 12.63% to 17.42% - becoming one of the most sought-after groups.
The demand for college degrees and equal technical workers also recorded an increase. Meanwhile, the group of workers with university degrees, although still accounting for the highest proportion, has decreased slightly to 27.43%.
