Some things are accepted
Graduated in multimedia communication, Dang Anh Thu (from Phu Ly City, Ha Nam) did not return to her hometown according to her parents' orientation to take over her family's electronics store, but decided to stay in Hanoi to pursue her passion.
To improve her work skills and practice her skills, from her second year of university, Anh Thu applied to be a collaborator for a beauty care center in Cau Giay district; in her third year, she applied to be a collaborator for a clinic in Hai Ba Trung district. In her final year of university, Anh Thu applied for an internship at a famous press agency.
I am very happy, compared to my peers who went on internships, I was considered hard because of my ability to write scripts and make videos. I am currently working as a training staff at a press agency. Although my income and salary are not enough to live on, I really appreciate this opportunity to do the right job that I am passionate about, Anh Thu said.
According to Anh Thu, during her time as a collaborator for a beauty center or clinic, she constantly cultivated and learned. Every place that Anh Thu took to work. In addition to her time in class, Anh Thu went to the clinic, to the cosmetic center to observe work to have ideas close to reality; took advantage of her free time to work for these facilities to have the opportunity to exchange and chat with many customers... Therefore, the products produced by Anh Thu were all posted on the websites of these centers for promotion.
In 2024, Tran Minh Hung graduated from the Faculty of Law, National Economics University. Not confident enough with his university internship, Hung applied to work as an employee of a law firm on Giang Van Minh Street (Kim Ma Ward, Ba Dinh, Hanoi).

According to Hung, despite the opportunity to apply for a job and become an official employee, he and many young workers who are new graduates still choose to work with a lower regime to learn and improve their skills and experience.
"The law firm where I study is a large, reputable enterprise, with many job startups, so we are assigned many tasks and are organized to work in groups. Not to mention, the company also has foreign partners and customers, so he also improved his foreign language skills. In general, compared to what I have learned, I find that salary payment is no longer the biggest problem, Hung shared.
Know your abilities
The story of Anh Thu and Hung is very typical of many young workers today, who are willing to work as seasonal workers to learn and improve their professional skills before officially joining the labor market.
Hung said that many of his friends who have graduated from other universities are also willing to work seasonally at many companies to accumulate experience. "We know our own abilities, so we have to learn more. Some students even spent 2 years studying at 4 companies. They also hope to learn as many skills as possible from large enterprises and service packages of foreign enterprises, Hung shared.
In particular, according to Anh Thu, young people today love to learn about AI-related work: "The whole world talks about AI, we don't want to be left behind because it will be the generation most affected, most affected by this rapid change".
According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), every 5 years, 30% of the current professional skills of workers will no longer be used, and must be replaced with new skills. This requires young workers to be equipped with professional skills and the skills to adapt to changes.
At present, young workers need to be equipped with soft skills and adaptive skills to be able to work in a 4.0 environment, with the ability to cope with situations, especially non-traditional risks.
