Implementing the 2025 Work Program, on the evening of October 2, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for children in difficult circumstances who are children of union members and workers in 2025.
Children receiving gifts are aged 5-15, children of union members and workers working at all levels of the City Trade Union, in one of the following circumstances: children with disabilities, serious illnesses; children orphaned by father or mother; children whose father or mother has a work accident or serious illness; children from union members' families and workers in difficult circumstances.
Accordingly, the City Labor Federation presented 3,200 gifts to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the city. Each gift is worth VND300,000 in cash and gifts (VND150,000 in cash and VND150,000 in gifts). The total cost is 960 million VND. These gifts were distributed to commune, ward, grassroots trade unions, and grassroots trade unions under the City Labor Federation.
The City Labor Federation organizes 2 "Full Moon Festival Night", each location invites 300 children to attend, participate in activities and receive gifts, including: 1 location at the City Labor Culture House (evening of October 2 to August 11 of the lunar calendar); 1 location in Ban Thach Ward, Da Nang City (evening of October 3, to August 12 of the lunar calendar). At "Full Moon Festival Night", union members will watch special performances, magics, lion dances and break the feast together.
Through the activities, the City Labor Federation hopes to care for, share difficulties and encourage children in difficult circumstances who are children of union members and workers on the occasion of the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival, helping them have more joy and motivation to strive and make efforts to practice.
At the same time, through that, propagate and raise awareness and responsibility of Trade Unions, union members, and workers at all levels towards family and children's work, ensuring the implementation of children's rights; promote child care, protection and education; join hands to improve the living environment for children, creating opportunities for children to live in a safe, healthy environment and develop comprehensively.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Le Van Dai - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said that for the Da Nang City Labor Union, organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances has become an annual activity of the Da Nang City Labor Federation to demonstrate concern and care for children of union members, workers, children in difficult circumstances, orphans, disabled children... so that all children can celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival fully and completely in the love of their families and the community.
"Today's program is a spiritual gift, which the trade union organization sent with affection, sharing and encouragement, hoping that the children would have a warm, joyful and meaningful moon" - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation emphasized.
Also at the program of the 2 festival nights, the City Labor Federation awarded 50 scholarships, worth 1 million VND each, to union members' children in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study well, in the 2024-2025 school year.
This is a source of support from the Golden Heart Fund of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for children of union members and workers in Da Nang city to encourage them to make many efforts in studying and practicing (at the Labor Culture House, 35 gifts were given, at Ban Thach ward, 15 gifts were given).
