On November 26, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) said that it had just coordinated with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to organize a conference to sign a working coordination regulations, to strengthen coordination in protecting the rights, interests and caring for the lives of workers in Industrial Parks and Economic Zones (IPs, KKT) in the area.
Currently, the IPs and KKT under the Management Board have 396 agencies, units and enterprises licensed for investment, of which 220 units are operating with about 11,800 workers. There are 156 grassroots trade unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor in industrial parks and export processing zones, with 11,394 union members.
According to the coordination regulations, the two sides agreed to implement key contents such as disseminating labor laws and occupational safety and hygiene; promoting dialogue at the workplace, supporting negotiation and signing collective labor agreements.
At the same time, protect the legitimate rights of workers, provide legal advice, and coordinate the handling of labor disputes. Caring for material and spiritual life, especially social security activities, taking care of Tet; supporting the development of union members and establishing grassroots unions in enterprises.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen The Lap affirmed that the coordination regulations are an important basis for the two agencies to jointly improve the effectiveness of caring for and protecting workers, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Head of the Economic Zone Management Board Pham Quang Long pledged to closely coordinate and assessed that this cooperation will contribute to improving the investment environment and sustainable development of the province's Economic Zone.
