The Hai Phong City Trade Union Charity Fund (hereinafter referred to as the Fund) is a non-profit charity organization established to carry out support and sponsorship activities in accordance with the law, including: taking care of welfare for trade union members and workers (hereinafter referred to as workers) in difficult circumstances; supporting the construction and repair of houses; supporting in cases of work accidents, accidents, natural disasters, fires, epidemics, and serious diseases causing health damage; giving gifts, subsidies and other forms of support on the occasion of Tet Nguyen Dan, Workers' Month, the founding day of the Vietnam Trade Union and necessary times.
The Fund implements support for trade union members and workers of grassroots trade unions directly under the Hai Phong City Labor Federation; and at the same time considers supporting trade union members and workers in other provinces and cities at the request of local Labor Federations in emergency cases due to natural disasters, fires, epidemics or other force majeure events causing widespread impact.
The Fund provides allowances for union members and workers in difficult circumstances; supports cases where union members and workers have relatives (wives or husbands, biological children or legal adopted children) suffering from serious illnesses, accidents with a disability rate of 50% or more or deaths due to illness, accidents, natural disasters, and fires.
In addition, the Fund participates in supporting, sponsoring and encouraging the development of a number of fields in accordance with the law, contributing to the implementation of social security policies and community development.
The Fund operates in Hai Phong city; consider supporting trade union officials and union members in other provinces and cities when they are in difficult circumstances at the request of the Labor Federations of provinces and cities, in urgent and unexpected cases due to natural disasters, fires, epidemics or other force majeure events affecting many union members and workers.
The main activities of the Fund are to support and care for the welfare of trade union officials, trade union members and workers working in agencies, units, and enterprises with grassroots trade unions directly under the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, who do not receive 100% salary from the state budget, are in difficult circumstances; have labor accidents, risky accidents; are affected by natural disasters, fires, epidemics; suffer from serious illnesses; do not have housing or are living in temporary houses, dilapidated houses, heavily damaged houses; support during holidays, Tet, Workers' Month, Vietnam Trade Union Establishment Day and other necessary cases (prioritizing direct production workers with many years of service).
Along with that, support trade union members, workers with relatives (wife or husband, biological children or legal adopted children) suffering from serious illnesses, accidents with a disability rate of 50% or more or death due to illness, accidents, natural disasters, fires; support trade union officials, trade union members in other provinces and cities in difficult circumstances at the request of the local Labor Federation, in urgent and unexpected cases due to natural disasters, fires, epidemics or other force majeure events affecting many union members and workers; support is carried out in the necessary time and terminated when the consequences are basically overcome.
The Fund also supports policy families, poor households and other social and charitable activities according to the decision of the Fund's Management Council; sponsors and supports facilities; supports programs and projects serving workers in difficult circumstances in Hai Phong city; participates in supporting and encouraging the development of a number of fields according to the provisions of law, contributing to the implementation of social security policies and community development.
The City Trade Union Charity Fund has account number 121000169846 at Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - Hai Phong Branch. The founding unit is Hai Phong City Labor Federation, address lot 26A, Le Hong Phong street, Gia Vien ward, Hai Phong. Representative: Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Head of the Management Board of the Hai Phong City Trade Union Shelter Fund.
Assets contributed to the establishment of the Fund by the founders: Hai Phong City Labor Federation contributed the amount of 3,003,518,647 VND transferred from the surplus of the Hai Phong City Trade Union Shelter Fund. Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Head of the Industrial Park Trade Union Committee; Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee also contributed the amount of 1,000,000 VND.
