From August 17 - 21, the inter-sectoral supervisory delegation on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies at enterprises conducted supervision at a number of enterprises with a large number of workers in the province.
The delegation is headed by a representative of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation. Participating in the delegation are representatives of leaders of professional departments and divisions of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Provincial Social Insurance.
The activity aims to promote the supervisory and social criticism role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Thereby, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time accompanying and supporting business development.
At enterprises, the delegation supervised the implementation of labor laws, social insurance and some regimes and policies related to employees.
Monitoring shows that, in general, businesses have implemented regulations on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees. Content related to labor relations has also been concerned and basically implemented well.
This contributes to helping workers feel secure in their work, creating a foundation for stable business development.
However, some businesses are still slow to pay social insurance. The salary level used as a basis for paying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is still low.
Some businesses have not paid due attention to long-term employees. The updating of new legal regulations on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance is also limited.
Through the supervision period, the delegation recorded difficulties and proposals from businesses to coordinate with relevant units to consider and resolve.
The delegation also requested businesses to overcome the shortcomings and limitations that have been pointed out. Businesses need to promptly update new regulations on labor law and social insurance.
Thereby, better ensuring the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, contributing to building sustainable business development.
