On the afternoon of July 14, at the Provincial General Hospital, the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Trade Union of the Provincial General Hospital to organize a program to award reading markers and sets of English textbooks to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Attending the program were Mr. Pham Ngoc Dang - Vice Chairman of the Lai Chau Provincial Labor Federation - along with representatives of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the Provincial General Hospital and union member families receiving gifts.
According to the Provincial Labor Federation, in this phase, the unit allocated 50 sets of Tan Viet English reading and learning markers to affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Beneficiaries are children aged 5 to 10 years old, children of union members, workers in difficult circumstances; priority is given to children who are orphaned of their father or mother due to labor accidents, have relatives with dangerous diseases or are in particularly difficult circumstances.
Each gift includes a smart reading pen and a set of bilingual English textbooks.
This is a tool to help students get acquainted with foreign languages, develop learning skills, gradually improve their English proficiency and create a foundation for the learning process in the future.
At the program, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation presented 15 sets of gifts to children of union members and workers of the Trade Union of Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital.
Representatives of the Provincial Labor Federation said that the activity not only supports union members' children to have more learning conditions but also shows the concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives of workers, contributing to encouraging union members to feel secure in their work and attached to agencies, units and businesses.
