Taking union members and workers as the center
In the first 6 months of 2026, although the area is large and businesses are dispersed, the workers' movement and trade union activities in the province still achieved many positive results.
With the motto "Taking union members and workers as the center of all activities", trade union levels have mobilized billions of VND in resources to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers, creating many outstanding imprints.
Typical are the programs "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Trade Union Tet Market" and many practical and timely support activities for workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.
During Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, the Provincial Labor Federation commended and rewarded 4 collectives and 50 individuals; supported 286 union members and workers in difficult circumstances and suffering from dangerous diseases.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with grassroots trade unions and MEDLATEC Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize occupational health check-ups for more than 1,500 turns of union members and workers; implemented a cancer screening program, contributing to taking care of union members' health.
Mr. Hoang Van Nguyen - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Nam So 1 Hydropower Joint Stock Company - said: "Over the past time, the Provincial Labor Federation has organized many activities towards grassroots levels, bringing sharing and connection between the Trade Union organization and union members and workers. We clearly feel the companionship of the Trade Union organization with businesses and workers.
As one of the union members who received support when unfortunately suffering from a serious illness, Ms. Tran Thi Bich - a union member of the grassroots Trade Union of Lai Chau Provincial General Hospital emotionally shared:

Spreading patriotic emulation movements
In the first 6 months of 2026, patriotic emulation movements continued to be widely deployed, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
Typically, the "Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer" Contest with the participation of 10 teams and more than 100 contestants, contributed to improving knowledge and skills about occupational safety and hygiene.
The XXIII Lai Chau Provincial Badminton Tournament for workers, civil servants, and laborers, along with many cultural and sports activities, was organized enthusiastically, contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening solidarity among union members.
Women's activities also continue to be innovated with many practical contents such as the seminar "Preventing and combating online fraud against women in the digital transformation period", launching the Ao Dai Week and awarding 90 gifts to female union members in difficult circumstances.
This is a series of meaningful activities, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers, towards the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
In addition, foreign affairs work continued to make a mark when the Provincial Labor Federation participated in an exchange program with the Jinping County General Confederation of Labour and held talks with the Hongxia County General Confederation of Labour (Yunnan province, China), contributing to strengthening cooperative relations and exchanging trade union activity experiences.
